Hampden Township Recreation Registration Procedures

HOW TO: PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!

Many of our programs and bus trips reach capacity, so please register early. We welcome and encourage participation by all members of the community and will make every effort to accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities. If an accommodation is required please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance.

Drop Box - 24-hour drop box available on right side of Municipal Building near the Police Department entrance.  Registrations and payments for programs and trips will be accepted in the drop box.  Please do not place tax payments in the drop box.

Internet Registration - Online registration for select recreation programs is now permitted by visiting the Hampden Township webpage.  Individuals may now view, register and pay for select programs and trips 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Programs and trips which are designated throughout the Recreation Department's program brochure with a 8 symbol are available for online registration.  Pool memberships cannot be processed online.  You may also view the availability and descriptions of many of the Township’s facilities.  Be sure to check out this exciting NEW way to register for the Township’s recreation programs.

Payment: Payment is required at time of registration. We accept cash, checks made payable to Hampden Twp. Rec. Dept., Master Card and Visa.

Refund Policy: For multi-session programs - in case of cancellation by the individual on a date before the class begins, all fees will be refunded.

In case of individual cancellation before the second class, an administrative fee of $5.00 per person will be withheld from the refund. No refunds will be given for individual cancellations after the second class.

Cancellation for one-day activities must be made at least one week prior to receive a refund, minus the non-refundable security deposit, unless otherwise stated. No refunds will be granted if cancellation is made less than one-week before the event. Cancellation for bus trips must be made at least one month prior to receive a refund, minus the non-refundable security deposit. No refunds will be granted if cancellation is made less than one month before the bus trip.

Cancellations: Hampden Twp. Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registration. A full refund will be given.

Snow Policy: The Hampden Township Parks and Recreation Department follows the following guidelines in the event of inclement weather:

If Cumberland Valley School District announces a one or two hour delay - all morning recreation programs are cancelled. If Cumberland Valley School District announces an early dismissal - all evening recreation programs are canceled.

If Cumberland Valley School District announces a school closing all day - all recreation programs are cancelled.

If a class is cancelled due to inclement weather, your instructor will inform you of a make-up at the next class. Participants may also call the Hampden Township Recreation Department at 761-4951 to hear a prerecorded message regarding cancellations.
